Univ Historians’ Reunion (The Peacock Drinks)
Ben Grass (1990, History) and a volunteer committee are extending invitations to a special drinks reception which will re-unite all former History students and tutors for the first time, taking place on 16 May from 18.30 to 20.30 in the grand surroundings of The Orangery in Holland House, London. Emeritus Fellow and legendary tutor Dr. Leslie Mitchell will introduce the proceedings with a brief talk on Holland House and some reflections on teaching History at the college.
As part of the evening we will also seek to advance the Humanities at Univ by raising funds to establish a new postgraduate scholarship in Humanities at the College (a new match funding scheme in partnership with the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council). We are encouraging attendees to assist us in funding such a scholarship and hope you will be interested in participating; you could do so by making a donation when booking your ticket or by contacting a member of our team.
